Scope

Every layer of the account, systematically

This is not a quick scan and a PDF. Each area is reviewed in turn to establish what is working, what is not, and — critically — why.

01

Account structure

Campaign organisation, ad group architecture, and whether the account is built to scale or constrained by its own setup.

02

Keywords and match types

Keyword relevance, match type strategy and full search term analysis to locate wasted spend.

03

Negative keywords

Review of negative lists — one of the most commonly neglected areas, and one that quietly drains budget.

04

Bidding strategy

Whether bid strategies are aligned to commercial objectives, and whether automated bidding has the data it needs to succeed.

05

Ad copy and assets

Quality Score, ad relevance, asset groups, and whether the ads are compelling enough to earn the click.

06

Conversion tracking

Verification that tracking is accurate and complete — not double-counting, not missing key actions.

07

Audience and targeting

Audience segments, demographic targeting, device adjustments and geographic performance.

08

Shopping and Performance Max

Feed quality, product groupings, campaign structure and asset review.

09

Budget allocation

Whether budget is concentrated on the best-performing campaigns or spread thinly across weak ones.

Deliverables

What you receive

Four components. The report is yours to keep and act on, with or without further involvement from me.

01

Full written audit report

A detailed, plain-language report covering every area of the account. Specific findings with context for each issue identified — no vague observations.

02

Prioritised action plan

Not a list of problems but a sequence: what to fix, in what order, with quick wins separated from longer-term structural improvements.

03

60-minute walkthrough call

We go through the findings together on a video call. You can question and challenge anything, and leave with a clear understanding of what happens next.

04

30 days of follow-up support

Questions arise during implementation. You have 30 days of email access to me so that nothing stalls.

Case study

What an audit found in a £8,000/month account

A UK kitchenware retailer with a healthy-looking blended ROAS was seeing margins under pressure and could not identify why. The audit found that 60% of monthly budget was allocated to product segments with below-breakeven ROAS, all inside a single Performance Max campaign — while a small group of high-margin products drove the majority of profit.

The recommendations centred on segmenting by margin, restructuring the product feed and setting ROAS targets by product tier rather than a single blended figure.

FAQ

The audit — common questions

Is the £399 fee the total cost, or are there extras?

£399 is the total, fixed price for the full audit as described on this page — written report, prioritised action plan, walkthrough call and 30 days of follow-up support. There are no hidden extras or upsells within the audit itself.

Will you try to sell me ongoing management afterwards?

The audit is sold and delivered as a standalone product. If I believe ongoing management would help, I will say so once, in the walkthrough call, and then leave the decision entirely with you.

Can I use the audit findings with my current agency or in-house team?

Yes. The report and action plan belong to you once delivered, and are written so that anyone competent in Google Ads can act on them directly, whether that is you, your current agency or your in-house team.

How is this different from Google's own recommendations tab?

Google's recommendations are generated to serve Google's objectives as much as yours, and often push toward broader targeting and higher spend. An audit is an independent, manual review with no incentive beyond an accurate answer.

Complimentary call · no pressure, no pitch

Not certain an audit is warranted?

Book a complimentary call first. I will take an initial look at the account and give you a straight answer — if I do not believe an audit would surface anything material, I will say so.
